Christina silently watched as he danced to the sounds of drums and other instruments behind him. Loki was in his dancing outfit, moving his feet and stomach to the rhythms that he saw fit to follow. She had always admired belly dancing, the way the men and women who performed it moved, how they seemed to flow so easily and lightly yet had enough power to move people.

She did not feel like she would be able to do so.

Yet she was there, in an outfit meant for this style of dance. She was even jeweled with bracelets and a foot piece. Finally noticing her, he paused in his moments and looked her over.

“You look…perfect.” He smiled, walking over to her. Taking one hand into his, he led her to the middle of the room before standing beside her. “Now, just listen to the music and try to follow. See where it leads you.” Closing his eyes, Loki once more began to dance. Christina watched before trying to follow suit. She knew she wouldn’t dance as well as him, but hope for some sort of result.

All she could really do was get her hips to wiggle.

Letting out a huff, she walked off to the side to watch him inside. She closed her eyes as well, listening to the sounds around her. Not even caring at that point, she slowly rolled her hips around before taking a step. Pausing once more, he opened his eyes and looked to her. She was doing a slow jazz walk, eyes closed. Suddenly she broke into a jazz run, spinning and popping up on her toes, arms moving around with the movements. He just watched, amazed at what she was doing.

She stopped a few steps away from him, opening her eyes. He smiled at her and she blushed, looking away.

“That was…”

“Sorry, that’s really only the type of thing I can do.”

“No, no, it was wonderful. Come, come here.” He reached out, pulling her beside him. “Now this time, follow my lead.” She watched his simple movements, doing her best to follow.

And the music continued to play behind them.
